THE Ross-on-Wye Lions Club is organising a walk in aid of two local charities.
The Ross Round charity walk, on Sunday, April 15, covers 18 miles of the south Herefordshire countryside with shorter versions of four, seven and eleven miles available.
Three-quarters of the money raised will go to the Acorns Children's Hospice, with the other quarter going to the Ross Lions for their various charities.
The main walk will be begin at the riverside near the Ross Bandstand, with the shorter versions starting from the Moody Cow public house in Upton Bishop.
Walkers are requested to register in advance with the organisers and a one-off registration fee of £5 will be charged to cover an individual or group. Walkers can also turn up and pay on the day.
