HEREFORD firefighters will be using their hoses with soapy water on Saturday as they take part in a national car wash day.
Members from the city's Red Watch will be cleaning cars at Morrison's car park, on Station Approach, Hereford, between 10.30am and 4pm with half of the donations going to the Fire Service National Benevolent Fund.
The fund, which organises the annual event, runs three rehabilitation centres around the UK, providing physical rehabilitation, convalescence and counselling for firefighters and their families.
The other half of the proceeds will go to Morrison's charity of the year, Asthma UK.
