THE man who died on Monday afternoon when his car struck a brick wall on the A438 near Stoke Edith has been named.
He was 44-year-old Mark Anthony Vallely, of Fownhope.
His Volvo estate was travelling towards Hereford and left the road to the nearside and struck the wall head-on. Police believe that there were no other vehicles involved.
The tragedy occurred at about 2.45 pm and police are appealing for witnesses to the collision or to hear from anyone who may have seen the Volvo travelling on the A438 to contact the officer dealing PC Richard PEARCE at Hereford Police Station 08457 444888
