TENOR Ruari Bowen joins three other soloists and the Musical and Amicable Society Orchestra in Ross-on-Wye Choral Society’s Spring Concert at 7.30pm on Saturday, March 14 in St Mary’s Parish Church.
The other soloists are Jennifer Walker soprano, Helen Stanley mezzo soprano and William Burn bass-baritone, who made his first of many appearances in Ross as the one-eyed giant Polyphemus in Handel’s Acis and Galatea in the last year of the Ross Festival in 2004.
The two works on the programme are the Maria Theresa Mass composed in 1799 by Franz Joseph Haydn and Mozart's Requiem.
The concert is conducted by the Society’s musical director Russell Burton, now in his third season.
Tickets £15 are on sale at Mervyn James, Rossiter Books in Ross-on-Wye and The Outback in Hereford. Under 18 are free and full-time students £5.
