A THIEF abandoned a stolen pressure washer pump in the middle of a road after the owner followed him.
On December 18, at about 12.15pm a man was working in his workshop in Tretire, near St Owen's Cross, when his dog began to bark.
When he returned to his home, which is some distance away, he saw a blue Volkswagen Caddy with a silver, open-backed canopy, pulling out of his property pulling his pressure washer pump.
He followed the thief, trying to get him to pull over, before the thief jumped out of his vehicle, unhooked the pressure washer and left it in the middle of the road, which blocked it.
Police believe this incident is linked to a trailer theft from Hampton Dean earlier that day.
The victim also reported an earlier burglary on December 14, where an attic was entered using a ladder kept outside and paintings and custom built fishing rods were stolen.
The offender is described as white, approximately 30-years-old with short dark brown hair, wearing overalls and spoke with a foreign accent.
If you have any details call police on 101 quoting the incident number 263-S-181214.
