IN a coup for the local community, Shobdon Aerodrome have been presented with the first external defibrillator.
The story began when members of Shobdon Aero-club attended a Heart Start course.
This led to negotiations with Diane Pearson from West Midlands Ambulance Service and the airfield was chosen as a suitable place for an external defibrillator to be sited.
Thanks go to West Midlands Ambulance Service and Ms Pearson from Heartstart for presenting the Aero-club with a defibrillator on December 7 and carrying out the hour long explanation course, demonstration and handover to member's of Herefordshire Aero Club and Tiger Helicopters.
