CHOOSING transport for a wedding can be one of the biggest decisions a couple have to make.

But one Hereford woman decided to gather her closest family together to travel in style to hers last Saturday.

Victoria Balderson, 29, made her way in a vintage bus from her home on Langland Drive in Whitecross to the city'sTown Hall along with her parents, bridesmaids, grandparents and other members of the family.

Her nan, Rae Phillips, said: "She was looking through all the modes of transport and came across the bus and thought that would be nice and a bit different.

"It was brilliant – as we were driving down to the town hall we were all waving and most people waved back. Some of the cars were also peeping their horns so it was great."

Following Mrs Balderson's wedding to husband Scott, 30, the family took the bus to Burghill Golf Club and then on to the Richmond Club for a party in the evening.

Also there to help celebrate was Mrs Balderson's uncle, former footballer Kevin Sheedy.

He spent the largest portion of his playing career with Everton – winning the FA Cup, European Cup Winners' Cup and two Football League titles.

He is also a former Hereford United player and played 46 times for the Republic of Ireland national football team.

The newlyweds are now celebrating their marriage on a honeymoon in Gran Canaria.
