PLANS will be on show of a potential chicken farm at Dorstone following a high level of interest in the application.
John Morgan wants to build two broiler sheds at his farm, Bage Court, which would house 80,000 chickens.
The plans will be displayed at Dorstone's Village Hall from 3 to 6pm this Sunday. Mr Morgan and his agent have been invited to attend to discuss the application with parishioners and answer questions raised.
He currently operates an established agricultural business from Flax Meadow, Dorstone based on arable cropping and beef rearing and finishing, and he now wants to diversify his business.
The planning documents on the Herefordshire Council website addresses concerns about potential odour and noise pollution.
It said an odour impact assessment shows the proposal complies with the permitting guidelines, using a ventilation system.
A noise impact statement concluded potential plant and transport noise is considered to have a negligible noise impact at the nearest dwellings.
The decision aims to be made by February 11.
