A PENSIONER has been arrested this morning in Ewyas Harold in relation to the death of a 78-year-old man found injured at his cottage home in the village.
Crime scene teams have sealed the address off for a full forensic search.
A 69-year-old woman has been taken to Hereford central police station for questioning.
She is understood to have been out of the county for several days.
The victim, 78-year-old retired civil servant Brian Wells, died at Hereford County Hospital earlier this month.
He is believed to have lain injured in the cottage for up to two days before being found by a neighbour.
A post mortem confirmed that Mr Wells had suffered multiple injuries.
