ORGANISERS of this year's Flavours of Herefordshire Festival are busy finalising plans for what they believe makes Hereford the place to be over the August Bank Holiday weekend.
With a focus on local produce and family foodie activities, the festival will be held on Castle Green between August 23 and 25.
It will see the return of the nation’s favourite baker and cookery book author Mary Berry from hit TV series The Great British Bake Off.
Popular Sea Legs Puppet Theatre also returns with special guest Mister MakerTM.
There will also be demonstrations, talks, tastings, entertainment, a huge food pavilion of local exhibitors, a food and drink village, face-painting and children’s activities.
A team of "meet and greeters" will lead the way from the festival through the city where Tropical Hereford transforms High Town.
From High Town, visitors can follow the meet and greeters to Old Market where, from Friday August 22 for four days, the official launch takes place with restaurants cooking up a storm and demonstrating their trade secrets.
