A ROSS-on-Wye charity has been shortlisted in the Charity Awards 2014 for its campaign to achieve better marine protection for UK seas.
Marine Conservation Society (MCS) has created 27 Marine Conservation Zones (MCZ's) off the English coast and organised a rally at Westminster to highlight the issue.
The Charity Awards aims to showcase the diverse work that takes place across the sector and the impact that charities have in society.
MCS is up against Foodcycle and Plymouth Marine Laboratory in the Environment and Conservation category.
The winners will be announced at a gala dinner at London's Grosvenor House Hotel on Thursday, June 12.
