PUPILS at a county primary school held an Easter bake-off competition with no sugar involved.
Recipes at Staunton on Wye Primary School included a decorated hard boiled egg, savoury bits with marmite, tomato or cheese flavours, pizza, cheese strata and a quiche.
Chef John Parker and Reverend Christopher Johnson judged the entries and said the "children really embraced the sugarless theme and came up with imaginative and very tasty bakes."
Prizes included cookery books and equipment.
