POLICE have confirmed that a grenade found at a house near Ross-on-Wye yesterday was not live.
Officers were called to Sellack at 2.25pm and evacuated nearby residents.
A 100m cordon was also placed around the affected house and the road had to be temporarily closed.
Bomb disposal experts arrived on the scene at around 5.45pm and confirmed that the device was not active.
The incident was resolved by 6.05pm.
