HEREFORDSHIRE'S own pop star was named best British female solo artist at last night's Brit Awards.
Ellie Goulding said that she was shocked to pick up the award at the o2 Arena in London and thanked her management and record label Polydor.
This is the second Brit Award for the Lyonshall artist after she scooped the Critics Choice award in 2010.
Ellie, who received her award from Prince last night, also took to the stage to peform a medley of I Need Your Love and Burn.

I Need your Love is a Calvin Harris song that Ellie features on, while Burn was Ellie's first number one single.
Both tracks were up for best British Song at the ceremony, but lost out to Waiting All Night by Rudimental.
Burn was also nominated in the British Video category, which viewers could vote for on the night via Twitter.
However, Ellie lost out to One Direction, who won for their Best Song Ever track.
