EARDISLAND IN BLOOM - At the annual Heart of England in Bloom awards ceremony at Drayton Manor, Eardisland in Bloom was awarded a fourth consecutive gold and a third consecutive best small village title.
BOWLING CLUB - There was another large turnout for closing day on Sunday with nearly 50 people packing the clubhouse to enjoy an indoor barbecue. This has been the most successful season on record with a best ever membership. On the green the club won 20 matches and lost just 10. The clubhouse will remain open to members every Tuesday at 7.30pm for social events.
