A POPULAR charity event could return to Hereford in 2008.

Jailbreak, which was held at Hereford Racecourse for many years, could be transferred from Worcester depending on the success of next year's event "It all depends how Jailbreak 2007 event goes, but if it does well we will be coming back to Hereford," said the event co-ordinator Phil Smith. "I'm sorry it got dragged away from the city as it was so well supported here and its racecourse is the perfect venue."

Next year's event has a change of venue to Worcester Racecourse, instead of the New Inn in Malvern..

"I'm trying to get all the old jailbreakers to come back as without them it won't be jailbreak," Phil said. "We already have 25 teams from Herefordshire signed up but I would like that to be more than 60."

Next year's event, which takes place on Sunday, July 15, is in aid of MacMillian's Nurses, the County Air Ambulance, and Herefordshire and Worcestershire Animal Rescue. For information contact Phil on jailbreak2007@aol.com or on 01684 893079.
