MORDIFORD CHURCH 200 CLUB DRAW - Took place at 18 Pentaloe Close on June 2. The winners were number 65 Miss Lucy Moss £90, number 1 Mr John Macklin £60 and number 72 Mrs Lil Moss £30. Four extra prizes were drawn this month for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. They were number 150 Mr John Harris £60, number 209 Mr Mark Bickmore, number 166 Mr Mick Stanley, and number 145 Mr Ralph Lloyd, all winning £30. The draw on July 1 will take place at Garlands Farm at 6pm.
POST OFFICE - The Post Office is considering reducing the hours from five to two in Mordiford due to the lack of support from the village. Local people are urged to use the Post Office or lose it altogether. Residents should write in to the Post Office with their preferred day and time during the consultation period which is supposed to be announced shortly.
MORDIFORD FETE - Will take place on July 6 at Sufton Court at 2pm. A meeting will be held in the church today (Thursday) to finalise arrangements at 7.30pm.
