INTERNET CAFÉ - Bishops Frome’s internet café is open every Monday from 10am till noon in the village centre and is now offering high speed broadband connections through Airband. Facilities include A4 and A3 printing, scanning and laminating of A4 documents. Help is always available. Beginners are welcome and the whole set-up is very informal. £1 per hour, 50 pence for tea or coffee.
FLOWER FESTIVAL - The Fromes Hill flower festival will be held at St Matthew’s church July 6 and 7. If anyone would like to sponsor a display as part of the festival, is asked to call Jill Southall on 01531 640288 or Joan Rose on 640587. Any donations will be gratefully received. There will also be a children’s/small adults’ corner featuring quirky fruit and vegetables, drawings, paintings, home-made muffins, painted hard-boiled eggs etc.
