SPRING SHOW—Marden Gardeners held their spring show on April 13. After seeing other shows struggle for entries the organisers were worried as to how many entries they would get.
However, all was well with an excellent show of 145 – just the tulip classes having no entries.
The results were as follows: Most points in flower classes 1st P Mann, 2nd Alison Leigh, 3rd a tie between Ann Simpson, Carol Rawlings and Sue Price. Floral art 1st Janet Lloyd, 2nd Sue Dutson, 3rd a tie between Carol Rawlings, Elizabeth Gwynne and Doris Stephens. Cookery and preserves 1st Janet Lloyd, 2nd Sue Dutson, 3rd a tie between Sue Price and Elizabeth Gwynne.
Children's class 1st Rachel Bell, 2nd Abbie Caton, 3rd Hannah Williams.
The committees thanked to all who helped and exhibited making it a successful day.
