GARDENING CLUB – The Gardening Club will meet in the parish hall at 7.30pm on Tuesday.

The meeting will be part of the Bodenham Village Festival, will be open to everybody and will include free entry. The evening will include the club’s annual plant sale and there will be a demonstration on planting tubs and baskets by David Griffiths.

THE BODENHAM SPRING FESTIVAL – Tomorrow (Friday) St Michael’s School will be holding an open afternoon from 1.15pm to 3.15pm. Admission will be free. The event will include historical displays to commemorate and celebrate the school’s 150th anniversary and a warm welcome will be given to past pupils, parents, staff, parishioners and visitors. The official opening of the ‘field path’ will be performed by Les Herbert, a former headteacher. Light refreshments will be available.

Also tomorrow (Friday), there will be a musical evening sponsored by the Bodenham Christian Fellowship at the chapel starting at 7.30 pm. This will be an opportunity for local artists, singers and performers from Bodenham and nearby to introduce their music to a friendly audience.

THE BIG EARLY START EVENT – On Saturday there will be a number of events at the parish hall between 8am and 5pm. There will be a ‘big breakfast’ from 8am till noon with eggs by Wynnes’s of Dinmore, bacon by Legge’s of Bromyard and sausages by Tudge’s of Richards Castle. A full English breakfast will cost £6.50, a bacon bap/tea/coffee will be £2.50 and toast/tea/coffee will be just £1.50. Proceeds go to the parish hall kitchen fund. PARISH COUNCIL – The parish council will meet at the Siward James Centre on May 13 at the earlier time of 7pm and will include a parish meeting and the parish council’s annual meeting.
