CONSTRUCTION is underway on a £2.4million doctors’ surgery in Leintwardine.
The Herefordshirebased Mortimer Medical Practice is expected to open its doors later this year.
Mortimer Medical Practice currently operates from three surgeries in Kingsland, Leintwardine and Orleton. The practice has five partners who divide their time between the three sites with additional salaried GPs and nursing staff.
The existing surgery in Leintwardine will remain open until the new replacement surgery is opened.
Facilities at the new centre will include three consulting rooms and a minor operating theatre.
It will also offer a wide range of clinics including physiotherapy and a community psychiatric nurse.
