A ONE-man celebration of the weird and wonderful language of the world's most popular sport comes to Stoke Prior Village Hall tomorrow (Friday).
Kicking off at 7.30pm, this evening of two halves is a real treat for football fanatics and the unacquainted/uninformed alike.
Grahame Lloyd takes us light-heartedly through the footballing alphabet using prose, commentary, quotations and even the occasional song. Using his insider knowledge of the game and its commentators he places the Beckhams, Wayne Rooney, Paul Gascoigne and Gary Linekar under the spotlight, along with poems about Sven-Goran Eriksson and the Premiership's top managers.
Tickets for this entertaining celebration of football are available on 01568 760380.
