A NEW exhibition opens in all three visual arts spaces at The Courtyard in Hereford tomorrow (Friday).
Jason Davies and Darren Williams have worked collaboratively since meeting on an MA course at UWIC in Cardiff eight years ago.
Living in different locations, their practice has been developed from creating, developing and maturing ideas within a visual framework, juxtaposing them with ideas of degeneration and corrosion.
They embrace miscommunication and the misunderstood, as much as clarity and understanding.
Using digital communications they literally ping images between each other, and allow the work to emerge and be born through this collaborative process.
Of their unique artistic process, they say: “The art is in the conversation, and the conversation is the process.”
Jason Davies is an artist and printmaker and lives in Cardiff. Darren Williams is an artist and teaches on the Foundation Course at Hereford College of Art.
The exhibition runs at The Courtyard during the venue’s opening hours until Sunday, April 7.
