HEREFORDSHIRE residents have a golden opportunity to help one of the county's favourite charities.
High-quality jewellery has been donated by a Hereford shop to raise money for St Michael's Hospice.
Andrew and Linda Lamputt, who run a silverware and jewellery shop in St Owen Street, have donated a diamond dove pendant made from 18ct yellow and white gold, complete with a chain. The pendant can be converted to be worn as a brooch and is worth £1,700.
Second prize in the raffle is a pair of 9ct gold diamond cufflinks, worth £430.
"Both Linda and I feel the same way about the hospice and the important role it plays within the local community in providing much-needed care and support," Andrew said. "Many of our family and close friends have received love and devotion during their stay at the hospice."
Other prizes include a hallmarked silver bottle coaster and a bottle of champagne, as well as five hallmarked silver bottle collars as runners-up prizes.
Last year, the jewellery shop donated a diamond ring, which raised £2, 467 for the hospice.
Tickets cost £1 and are available from the shop and hospice's 13 shops. The raffle takes place on Tuesday, May 22.
