"POLITICAL speed dating" saw about 50 students in Ledbury put questions about their local area to a group of councillors and other community representatives.
The students were given six minutes with each person before moving on to the next.
Questions were asked ranging from transport and leisure facilities to recycling and crime.
The event was organised by Amanda Rossbotham, of Ledbury Youth First, and her colleagues, who are funded by the Big Lottery in partnership with John Masefield High School and Herefordshire Youth Service.
For the students it was a chance to further their active citizenship learning and to have an insight into the people, the decisions and difficulties which shaped their communities.
