A MAN sustained a broken leg in a serious collision on the Hereford to Brecon Road at Whitney-on-Wye on Sunday.
A white Ford Fiesta van, which was travelling from Hay-on-Wye towards Winforton, collided with a stone wall and a telegraph pole while negotiating a right-hand bend on the A438.
The van overturned and ended up on its roof on the opposite carriageway. The male driver suffered minor injuries but his front seat passenger sustained a broken leg.
The van was badly damaged and both men were taken to Hereford County Hospital. Diversions were put in place for 12 hours.
