CHARITY SHOP - As a result of the efforts of a loyal band of workers at the charity shop in Kington at the beginning of November, £1,060 was raised for church funds.
CHURCH - St Mary’s has a carol service at 3pm on December 23, midnight communion on Christmas Eve, and 11am service on Christmas Day and a group service on December 30. New child choir members are urgently needed to replace older members who have left.
WHIST - There was a good attendance at the whist drive on November 27 when prizes were won by Roger Kerrigan, Phyllis Lewis, Jim Price, Sandra Payne, Frank Evans, Don Smith, Jinks Price, Margaret Kerrigan, Gwen Thomas and Jean Chant. The Christmas whist drive in aid of St Mary's Church will be on December 18. Play starts at 7.45pm.
