SMITH David Clive We are sad to announce the death of David Clive Smith of Ewyas Harold, who died on 30/1/24 peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Pat, father to Annabel and Clive, father-in-law to Tim and Jo, grandad to Hannah, Jonathan, Josh and Jack, great grandad to Harry, Charlie, Lilah, August, Etta, Maisie and Ottilie. The family would like to extend their thanks to friends and family and for the excellent support and services received from the Golden Valley Practice, District Nurses, St Michael's Hospice and Marie Curie. A service to celebrate David's life will be held on 29/2/24 at 1.30pm at St Michaels and All Angels Church, Ewyas Harold. Family flowers only, donations if desired to St Michaels Hospice and Marie Curie. Vibrant colours welcome. Dear Pat and family, and our friends in Hereford. We are saddened by his passing and that we couldn't be there to see him one last time. We have many fond memories of your many visits to New Zealand when you stayed with us in Rotorua and Nelson, and our visits to stay with you in Ewyas Harold. We recall the time when you first came to Nelson just as we were shifting house, helping us to pack and move our stuff across town. I remember David being no stranger to a bit of work, helping me to lay a concrete foundation and build a workshop. The end of the day would always be celebrated with a fine ale or two and maybe a red wine. We will miss him, his generosity and humour.

David, we will be there soon and will be sure to explore your cellar, find something appropriate and drink to you the parting glass.
