DRAPER Alexander G J Alex's family and partner, Kate, thank all who attended his funeral on 8 December 2023 at St Mary Magdalene Church, Eardisley and for the kind messages received from so many of Alex's friends, students and work colleagues. The service was both sad and joyful but reflected Alex's eclectic approach to life, teaching and music. Special thanks to Alex's friends at Oak Tree Funeral Services for their excellent funeral arrangements; to the Revd Marcus Small; to Robert Green, Richard Errington and Tim East for the music played; and The New Strand for the splendid refreshments afterwards. Our appreciation to all doctors and staff at the hospitals of Hereford/Macmillan Renton Unit, Cheltenham and Queen Elizabeth Birmingham for their caring treatment of Alex and to St Michael's Hospice for making Alex's final weeks so peaceful. Our thanks also for donations in memory of Alex made to St Michael's Hospice and The Brain Tumour Charity. We urge continuing support for these worthy people.
