London Contemporary Dance School return to The Courtyard on May 16 with Edge 2018.

Presenting four brand new pieces by award-winning choreographers with energy and prowess, Edge offers a group of young artists the opportunity to develop their skills as dance artists in a creative environment. Members of Edge work across media and styles as contemporary dancers and spend time working with choreographers to create and develop performances for the tour. This year’s fourteen talented dancers hail from around the globe, from countries including Costa Rica, France, Hong Kong, Italy, Spain, Taiwan, USA and the UK.

The unusual programme this year has been choreographed by Philippe Blanchard, Athena Vahla, Ben Wright and Tamsin Fitzgerald of Hereford-based 2Faced Dance Company, with themes ranging from the poetic to the wild, reflecting personal and political themes influencing society and how individuals connect.

There will also be a Q&A after the show to find out more about the performances and life as a professional dancer.

EDge 2018 will be in The Courtyard’s Studio Theatre on Wednesday, May 16 at 7.30pm. To book, call the box office on 01432 340555 or visit courtyard.org.uk.
