A CAR crashed into a tree on the A44 near Leominster yesterday morning (April 28), with a man sustaining injuries and being taken to hospital.

Emergency services were called to Docklow at around 2.35am.

A man in his 20s was found injured, but not trapped in the car, and was handed over to the care of the ambulance service.

A spokesperson for the ambulance service said the man was treated for injuries not believed to be serious before being taken to Hereford Hospital.

A police spokesperson added that the driver was taken to hospital "as a precaution".

Emergency services have given contradictory information about the circumstances of the crash. The fire service stated that the car was on all four wheels after the crash, while police said that it was found on its roof.

Emergency services left the scene around an hour and a half after the crash, with the man being taken to hospital by ambulance.
