LUCTONIANS head coach Ryan Watkins is confident his team will show their true capabilities tomorrow night as they take on Birmingham Solihull in their final pre-season friendly.
The Kingsland side went down 29-10 to Dorking in their last match, but were missing some key players.
"We didn't have a full strength side out, which was frustrating, but it was a much improved performance from our previous game," said Watkins.
"We had a more of a structured performance and rhythm in our play, but it was a difficult game."
However, Lucs are expected to field a strong side, with the start of the National League 2 North campaign just around the corner.
“It’s been nice to be able to give everyone an opportunity in the two games so far, but it will be a smaller squad against Birmingham,” said Watkins.
“I think the boys are looking forward to having a different setting by playing under lights.
“They were a bit deflated after the game on Saturday, but we’re going in the right direction and we will be looking to put on a decent performance.
“Playing sides from Birmingham is always good and some of the boys will know each other, so there’s that bit of rivalry there.”"
