RACING ace Lea says he has nothing to lose as he gears up for the final meeting of the Pickup Truck Racing Championship.
Wood, from Hereford, is third in the standings going into the meeting at Brands Hatch this weekend.
"I've still got a chance of winning it, but will need the leader to have a DNS (does not finish)," said Wood.
"I've got nothing to lose and will go as hard as I can."
Wood had his best meeting to date at Pembrey last month, earning a double win and a second place finish from the three races.
He also had two fastest laps, but with only two races on offer at Brands Hatch, Wood knows he will need lady luck on his side.
Wood said: "Everything went right at Pembrey so will be working as hard as I can at Brands Hatch."
Wood is known for his time in the British Touring Cars Championship, but decided to switch to the Pickup Series last year.
"It's been very enjoyable and very competitive," he said.
"You also get to race at the oval at Rockingham.
"Once it's finished, I will eye up my options for next year."
