HEREFORD-Based Cotswold Saxon BMW finished fourth in the latest round of the 24 Hour Touring Car Endurance Series in Slovakia.
Drivers Nick Barrow, Richard Corbett and Tom Barrow's initial task was to learn technical track at the SlovakiaRing motor circuit near Bratislava.
As entries in the diesel class were down for this race, the team were promoted to compete in the top TCR class.
During the free practice and two qualification sessions, the drivers acquitted themselves well and qualified fourth on the grid.
Driver and team owner Nick progressed to third during his first 2 hours in the car but subsequently settled into fourth position throughout the night.
Despite a stop for a precautionary gearbox change, Saxon finished the race as they had started after a valiant fight with ultimately faster opposition.
The Rotherwas-based team's next outing is a four-hour race at the Nurburging, where they will be entering two cars and aiming to emulate their recent class win at the track.
