STEVEN Fedor is the latest Spirit Warrior Taekwondo Club member to be picked by England for the upcoming EITF European Taekwondo Championship.

Fedor will compete in the plus 80kg veterans category.

"Steven, who is the chief instructor of Spirit Warrior Taekwondo Club, has trained hard for the opportunity to compete at international level," said spokesman Laurence Lloyd.

"He has been attending training sessions with the rest of the England team at the Oxfordshire training venues in addition to his usual regime, as well as having regular appointments with health specialists to ensure he is in top physical condition leading up to the championship.

"The England coaching team recognised Steven’s exceptional performance at the training sessions as well as his previous national level competition achievements.

"Steven’s successful selection makes him the fourth England competitor that the club has produced in total and he is excited to fly out to Greece with James, Lily and the rest of the England team."

Fedor joins James Moran and Lly Wargen in being picked for the Championship that takes place in Thessaloniki, Greece, next month.

Last year's international competitions saw Moran and Wargen return with two medals.

This year, Greece will be host to 1,500 of the best International Taekwondo Federation (ITF) black belt competitors from 35 European countries.
