HEREFORD FC have appointed two new directors following the departures of Phil Eynon and Mike Cole.

Paul Quarrell, who has been previously working at the club as a non-executive stadium director, steps up to the board.

Quarrell is managing director at building firm William Powell & Sons and will move to an executive role on the board with immediate effect, as well as continuing to lead on all stadium and safety related matters.

He follows in the steps of his late grandfather, John Jackson, who was a director of Hereford United for three decades before stepping down in 1988.

Replacing Mike Cole as financial director and Company Secretary will be Peter Churchus, who lives in Ross-On-Wye and has been a Hereford fan since 1970.

Having trained as an accountant in Hereford over 40 years ago, Churchus currently holds the position of group financial director for the Holidaybreak Education Division, which specialises in children’s holidays and tours. The Division includes PGL, which is based in Ross, a business he first became involved in in 1972.

In his group role, Churchus is responsible for teams of finance staff in different subsidiary companies and he has experience of strategy and business planning.

During his working life, he has also held managing director and marketing director positions, as well as running his own business until he was enticed back to PGL.
