LEOMINSTER are still second in De Cymru & The Marches 1 after beating Cardiff & Met Fourths 2-1.

Goals from Dan Petrie and Shaun Hill saw Leominster race into a 2-0 lead before being pegged back late in the first half.

After the break, despite creating a number of chances, Leominster were unable to extend their lead, but managed to see the game out.

Elsewhere, Hereford were thrashed 7-0 by Whitchurch Seconds, while Ross-on-Wye went down 3-2 to Yate.

In the Marches 1, Hereford Seconds lost 2-1 to Abergavenny, but there was a handsome 8-0 win for Leominster Seconds over Winchcombe in The Marches 2.

Leominster were 6-0 up by half time thanks to goals from Charles Mitchell (3, Nathan Rouse, Scott Bradley and Lewis Lavenia, before Rouse and Adam Jones added further goals after the break.

In the same, division, Ross Seconds lost 3-1 to Cheltenham Fifths.

In the West Clubs' Women's League, there were wins for both of Colwall & Malvern's teams, but Ross lost 4-1 to Cheltenham Fourths, while in the South Wales League, a Jess Goodwin goal was all Presteigne could muster in a 4-1 defeat to Penarth.
