ROSS-ON-WYE finished as the top county side in the GoCrea8 Hockey League.

The team were promoted to De Cymru & The Marches 1 this season and they finished a respectable fifth place.

Ross drew their final game 4-4 against third-placed Cirencester.

Hereford, who beat Cardiff University Seconds 2-1 last Saturday, ended up in sixth place, with Leominster eighth.

Last Saturday, Leominster lost 4-2 at Bridgend.

Already relegated Leominster Seconds, meanwhile, lost 2-0 to Abergavenny in The Marches 1, while Hereford Seconds went down by the same scoreline to Newent Seconds.

Ross-on-Wye Seconds drew 1-1 with Gloucester City Fourths in The Marches 2.

In the West Clubs' Women's League, Hereford know they have to beat bottom club Chippenham this Saturday to avoid being relegated from Premier Division 2A.

Hereford, who lost 3-0 to Westberries last time out, are one point adrift of third-from-bottom Cheltenham Seconds.

Leominster also have work to do to avoid dropping out of North Division despite beating Bretforton 4-3 last Saturday.

The north Herefordshire are third-from-bottom, just a point ahead of Stroud.

This Saturday, Leominster are home to Cirencester.

Hereford Seconds, meanwhile, have stayed up in Severn Division 1 after beating Cheltenham Fourths 4-1, but bottom club Colwall & Malvern were hammered 12-0 by Cheltenham Thirds.

In Severn Division 3, Ross drew 1-1 with Stroud Thirds, while Colwall 7 Malvern Seconds beat Bourton & Sherborne Thirds 3-1.

Elsewhere, Presteigne have been promoted from Premier 2 of the South Wales League despite losing 2-1 at Cardiff & Met Seconds, while Kington drew 1-1 with Gowerton in Division One.
