HEREFORD gained their first win of the season in the West Club's Women's Hockey League thanks to a 2-1 victory over Chippenham.
The city side now travel to Cheltenham Seconds in their next Premier Division 2A match this Saturday.
It was a different story for Leominster though, who were hammered 10-0 by Cirencester in North Division.
Elsewhere, Hereford Seconds went down 3-2 to Badgers in Severn Division 1, while Colwall & Malvern were thumped 8-0 at home to Chipping Campden.
In Severn Division 3, Ross-on-Wye beat Blockley Seconds 1-0, but Colwall & Malvern Seconds lost 2-1 to Painswick.
Presteigne, meanwhile, drew 0-0 with Gwent in Premier 2 of the South Wales League and Kington lost 4-0 to Aberystwyth University.
Newly promoted Ross-on-Wye opened their De Cymru & The Marches 1 campaign in the best possible way by hammering Aberystwyth University 6-1.
Hereford also gained an opening win thanks to a 3-2 victory over Cheltenham Thirds, while Leominster drew 1-1 with Bristol & West.
In the Marches 2, Hereford Seconds drew 2-2 with Cheltenham Fourths and Leominster Seconds shared a 2-2 draw with Wotton-under-Edge Thirds.
Ross-on-Wye Seconds went down to a 6-3 home reverse to Stroud Thirds.
