HEREFORD drew 2-2 against fellow mid-table side Cheltenham 2nds in Premier Division 2A of the West Clubs' Women's Hockey League last Saturday.

The city side now have a two-week break before hosting leaders Newent on February 27.

Leominster had a day to forget following an 8-1 thrashing against Blockley in North Division.

The result leaves Leominster third from bottom in the division, on nine points.

There were also defeats for two of our county sides in Severn Division 1.

Colwall & Malvern lose 2-0 to Cheltenham 4ths, while Hereford 2nds went down 1-0 to Lansdown 2nds.

Ross-on-Wye also lost 1-0 to Newent 3rds in Severn Division 2, while Colwall & Malvern 2nds were beaten 3-1 by Lansdown 3rds in Severn Division 3.

Presteigne, meanwhile, comfortably beat Radnor 4-0 in the Marches League.

Jess Goodwin scored twice with Sioned Price and Debbie Evans also on target.

Kington's match against Sue Noake in Division One of the South Wales League was abandoned after 55 minutes.
