PAST senior captains of Burghill Valley Golf Club took part in an away day competition at Bewdley.
However, youth came out on top, with Roger Cleves winning with 36 points.
Paul Baker came second with 33 points, with Les Herbert a further three points adrift.
Meanwhile, Herefordshire County Seniors took on their Brecon & radnor counterparts at Builth Wells Golf Club.
Glyn Biffen and Terry Webb halves their match after being two down with three to play, while Steve Cadney and Toby Young won two and one.
There were also wins for Roger Richards and George Smith and Steve Dyer and Ben Lloyd, who both won their matches three and two, while Ken Mallender and Rob Vaughn won one up.
Entries are now being accepted for the various county championships and members are asked to see their club notice board for details.
