HEREFORD manager Russell Slade has strengthened his side ahead of tomorrow's FA Cup tie with Truro City, bringing in Peter Vincenti on loan.

The attacking-minded midfielder can play in a number of positions, and Slade said the 33-year-old comes with a lot of Football League experience.

"Peter is comfortable in a number of positions, which is a real bonus for us," Slade told the official Hereford FC website

"He can play on the left, in the middle or on the right of midfield and he can also be a threat in the box as well.

"He's someone with a lot of experience in the Football League and he will bring us some added composure on the ball.

"Peter has played with Jarrod [Hodgkiss] so they will know each other's game inside out. I am sure he is the type of player who will be able to forge partnerships quickly whichever position he plays in, but it is certainly a positive that he has played with Jarrod before.

"I'm really excited by his arrival and I am delighted that we have managed to bring him in."

Vincenti, who arrives at Edgar Street on loan from League Two club Macclesfield Town, has previously had spells with Miwall, Stevenage and Aldershot Town.

"I've not really got a preferred position, I've played in a number of roles through the years, I don't think I'm nailed down to one to be honest with you," he added.
