DARA O'Shea said that Hereford was the right club to learn his trade as a defender in the senior game.

The 19-year-old who has been on a season long loan from West Bromwich Albion has impressed at Edgar Street this season making 25 league appearances.

He was again in the thick of the action at St Ives scoring the opening goal before winning a penalty, which John Mills scored.

"I'm delighted that I've come here and experienced this side of the game and Hereford was the right club to come to," said O'Shea.

"It has worked out very well everybody has been good to me, the fans, the coaches and players and it's definitely something that I've enjoyed.

"I'll sit down at West Brom and see what they think is best for me but I've loved my time here. As a player I just want to play at the highest level I can whether that's here or somewhere else.

"The reason I've come here is to play with ex-professionals and (Ryan) Green has been great to me really and took me under his wing and told me when I'm doing stuff wrong and right.

"He has just been a good mentor. He's just that rock at the back who is always reliable and will talk to you and communicate, so it's been good.

"It's very different to under-23 level and you have less time on the ball, more physical and under-23 probably doesn't set you up for the men's game so it has been good to come here."
