HEREFORD FC’s game against Hitchin Town has been postponed for the second time this week and re-arranged for the final week of the season.

The Bulls were due to travel to Hertfordshire tonight after Monday's game was postponed on the lunchtime of the match and the fixture re-scheduled.

Today's postponement is the third time the match has been called off. Bete Beadle's side will now travel to Hitchin on Wednesday, April 25, 7.45pm, subject to league approval.

A statement on the Hereford FC website said earlier today: "Heavy rainfall in Hitchin this morning, that wasn’t forecast has left the pitch waterlogged once more.

"It is the third time that the match has been postponed, with the game falling foul to the heavy snowfall earlier this year, and also to the wet weather at the start of this week.

"A new date will be confirmed asap."

Hereford manager Pete Beadle urged opposing teams to look after their pitches yesterday amid a congested fixture list.

The postponment will delay when it is possible for Hereford to be crowned champions.

Beadle's side will now travel to Bishop's Stortford on Saturday.

The Herefordshire FA Giantkillers Cup Final had also been planned to be played at Edgar Street tonight but that was also re-arranged to accommodate the senior fixture.
