FORMER Gloucester City captain Keiran Thomas has signed for Hereford FC ahead of their pre-season campaign.

The 23-year-old defender who can also play in midfield in a product of the Cheltenham Town Academy and has spent the last two seasons at Gloucester City, making over 80 appearances in National League North and South.

“I’ve known Keiran since he was a youngster at Cheltenham Town” said Hereford manager Pete Beadle speaking to the club’s website.

“He’s a versatile player, he can play at right-back and in midfield, he’s a strong, solid player who is very good technically.

“His arrival gives Jimmy Oates some great competition for the right-back place, but it also opens up other options for us.

“Jimmy can play anywhere at the back, and Keiran can play in midfield as well.”

“Despite his young age, he will bring some invaluable knowledge of the National League North, and we can’t wait for him to get started.”
