HEREFORD'S assistant manager Steve Jenkins is delighted with the club's latest acquisition.

The Bulls have signed Gloucester City left-back Lewis Hall who has played for the Tigers in both the National League North and South, racking up more than 100 games.

The 22-year-old was previously a trainee with Bristol City

"Lewis is someone we've known for some time," said Jenkins. "He was on our radar last season when we were looking for a left-back after James Bowen moved to Solihull but on that occasion we were able to sign Cameron Pring.

"Lewis has good experience in both the National League North and South and he is flexible and adaptable with the ability to play further forward if we need him to. You need some players like that in the squad."

Jenkins said that talks are still ongoing with Ryan Green and John Mills who have been made offers to remain with the Bulls next season.

And he paid tribute to midfielder Pablo Haysham, who has declined Hereford's offer and signed on with Salisbury.

"We are disappointed to lose Pablo," said Jenkins.

"He has had three fantastic seasons here and, as well as being a fans' favourite, he has been very popular in the dressing room.

"He has grafted and his attitude has been spot on - we wish him all the best.

"It's a hard decision for anyone to take and it's about evaluating family and work as well as football."

Hereford have been linked with Gloucester City captain Kieran Thomas and Jenkins is confident of announcing more signings soon.

"We are back in training at the end of June and that will soon come around," said Jenkins.

"The players will have had a good rest after playing a lot of games and will be raring to go - they are extremely fit and will hit the ground running."
