SPORTS teams across the county have been busy competing throughout the autumn with great success.

Hereford UITC were the Gloucestershire FA U18 Girls League Plate winners while Hereford Lads Club Vixens U15’s Herefordshire Girls Football League Futsal winners & HFA U15 Cup Winners going for a quadruple this year with league and cup still up for grabs.

While Hereford FC U12’s are earned their way to play against AFC Bournemouth in the Junior Premier League Cup final on May 19.

Ledbury Swifts under-13s clinched the Herefordshire FA Junior blue league for their age group.

The young side recently welcomed North Somerset to their home ground of Central Park for the semi-final.

Despite withstanding some early pressure Hereford played their way into the tie eventually running out 2-0 winners and booking their place in the prestigious final.

In netball the under-12 team from Lady Hawkins' School took part in the county championships. They saw off many other teams to win themselves a place in the final against Cathedral School, narrowly missing out on the county title to take runners up.

Leominster seconds hockey team had a successful season in the Marches Division 2 finishing second and just a point off winning the title.

Ledbury Ladies' Touch Rugby have also been successful finishing third in a recent tournament at Berry Hill.

Finally Ely Cycling Club are going from strength to strength with a new kit and their riders consistently placing in the top placings around the country.
