TODAY'S Christmas Jumper meeting will go ahead at Hereford Racecourse following an inspection.

The site was battered by heavy snow last Sunday and there was still parts of the site that was deemed unraceable yesterday.

However, a further inspection has declared that it is now safe for racing to go ahead.

An estimated 3,500 people are expected to attend the meeting, with gates opening at 10.20am.

A total of seven races will take place, with the first getting underway at 12.20pm.

Attendees in the grandstand are encouraged to wear a Christmas jumper or other festive attire.
