DARYL Mitchell returned to the Brockhampton team yesterday and hit an unbeaten 94 as the villagers hammered Kenilworth Wardens by 10 wickets.
The Worcestershire star's knock came off just 74 balls, which is given Brockhampton hope that they can stay in the Premier Division of the Birmingham & District League.
Fellow opener Ashley Bullock also hit an unbeaten 43 for Brockhampton, with Adam Hewlett (4-48) the pick of their bowlers.
Brockhampton are again home tomorrow when they host second-placed Berkswell.
However, Worcestershire have a Championship match against Gloucestershire, meaning that Mitchell is unlikely to figure.
