HEREFORD Lions International and Ledbury Amateur Boxing Club staged another successful charity dinner show at Hereford Shirehall.

A total of 13 bouts took places on the night, with four boxers from Ledbury competing.

Kevin 'Golden Boy' Florence beat Reglan Lazenby, from March Boxing Club, by unanimous decision, while Alex 'Pinky' Florence overcame Donnington Amateur Boxing Club's McCauley Owen.

Leanne Belcher also won on points against Shannon McCarthy, from Newdigate Amateur Boxing Club, but Dinars Ziraks lost out to Finchley's Liam Nevins.

"I am very proud of all my boxers, they did an excellent job considering they have been self training while I have been in hospital with a stroke for a month," said Ledbury ABC coach Fred Florence.

"I'm glad to say everything is back on track and, as I say all the time, Alex 'Pinky' Florence will box anybody, as long as they come in as 64kg.

"Age and record of fights don't apply, he will box anyone."

Ledbury ABC are based at the Homend Trading Estate, next to the train station.
